. . . History Cont'd
I continued to study after I
graduated from Colorado Christian University. I wasn't going to stop there. The following year, in 1992, I received my certification
as a Paralegal in the State of Colorado. Then, in 1994, I left U.S. West, Inc., in 1994, to devote my time to the
Grandparents Resource Center.
I also served on President Clinton's National Service Team, "AmeriCorps," from 1995-96, and volunteered 3400 hours
of my time to the City of Sheridan as a court/family advocate, Volunteer Probation Officer for Jefferson County, and as a Victims
Advocate in Commerce City.
In 1996.I received a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit status for the Grandparents Resource Center
I have since been working on a larger scale with grandparents and families in Colorado, and nationwide.
This past year GRC celebrated its 10th anniversary with a record of over 15,000 calls from grandparents across
the nation, and from all over the world seeking help on grandparents' issues.
Thanks be to God for his tremendous
help in making this effort fruitful.
